Our studio was founded in 2019 in İzmir, under the name WOPA (WOmen + PArtnership), by a female architect and an interior architect.
Initially offering services in architectural and interior design projects, our studio gradually began to merge space and object design by focusing on thinking across scales. This transformation, inspired by the concept of “storage,” led to the adoption of a minimal, brutal, and dynamic design approach. Embracing a balance between functionality and aesthetics, our studio, now rebranded as Studio Stoc, focuses on the design of spaces and objects with a renewed identity.
Studio Stoc is an independent studio working in the fields of interior architecture, furniture design, and limited-edition product development — far from mass production, and dedicated to producing quality designs.
We approach each project with the structural language of architecture, the tactile sensitivity of interior design, and a detail-oriented perspective on object design. We consider function and aesthetics not as rivals, but as two parts of the same sentence.
We treat design not only as an outcome, but as a way of thinking. We respect the nature of materials, question the relationship between emptiness and fullness, and prioritize the dialogue to be established with the user. We seek a balance beyond function, and a meaning beyond form.
